About Us

Dr. Chow is a native of the Seattle area, growing up in the Kirkland and graduating from Juanita High School. He did his undergraduate studies at UCSD, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Chow attended Southern California College of Optometry. He did his externships at the San Diego Naval Hospital, Madigan Army Medical Center, and Veterans Hospital in Bay Pines, Florida. He graduated from Southern Cal in 1995. In January of 2000, Dr. Chow entered business school and earned his MBA in June of 2002.

In his free time. Dr. Chow enjoys spending time with his two daughters, jamming in his recording studio, and trying to hold on to his days as an avid cyclist.

Dr. Holly Lebar, a Seattle native, is dedicated to providing exceptional eye care to her patients. With over 17 years of experience in optometry, she combines expertise with a compassionate approach. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Portland. She pursued her optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry. Her externships include Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center, Madigan Army Medical Center, and the Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute. 

Dr. Lebar has a passion for helping patients with dry eye disease. She also enjoys contact lens fitting for people of all ages and myopia control for younger patients. She takes the time to understand individual needs, providing personalized recommendations and education. When she is not at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing pickleball, and hiking with her dog. 

Born and raised in Indiana, Dr. Rettig earned her bachelor's degree in human biology at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana for her undergraduate education before going on to attend Indiana University School of Optometry to become an optometrist. She completed clinical rotations at Moses Eye Care Center, Indianapolis Eye Care Center, and Cataract and Laser Institute in Indiana as well as Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina.

She went on to practice primary care optometry in Illinois for a few years with a special interest in fitting specialty contact lenses. Upon moving to Washington State, she worked with refracting surgeons seeing pre and post-op LASIK and PRK patients before joining Occhio Optometry in 2024.

Dr. Rettig enjoys not only helping patients see their best but also educating them along the way about their vision and ocular health. In her free time, she enjoys hiking the many local trails, cooking new recipes, and relaxing on the couch watching movies. She looks forward to traveling more inside and outside of the US with her husband.

Mary has enjoyed working in the eyecare industry in multiple roles for the past 24 years. Having this vast experience has made her a stellar Office Manager at Occhio Optometry. Her dedication to patient care is unmatched. She is happy to go over insurance details, assist with scheduling, and always makes sure your experience with us goes as smoothly as possible! 

Outside the office, Mary likes to spend time with her family, especially her son Benny, who is very active in baseball and football. She is a big lover of all animals and is the biggest fan of her dog Sully.

Kendra has been working in the optical industry for the past 10 years! She has a passion for art and science, so what better way to combine those two subjects than Opticianry? She has a keen sense of style and works diligently with patients to fit their personal style needs and occupations! Unsure of the best way to use your insurance? Afraid your prescription is too high for stylish frames? Have no fear, Kendra is here! She values supporting independent frame lines, loves all vintage things, and can’t get enough of frames that push the envelope just a little. 

When she isn’t picking the perfect frame for you on her first try, (we’re serious! It’s magic sometimes!) she enjoys painting, rom-coms from the 80s, thrifting, and trying out new coffee shops around town!

Wyatt has been a valued member of the Occhio Optometry team for the past year. With a passion for patient interaction, he thrives on helping individuals with their vision needs and especially enjoys guiding patients through the process of inserting and removing their first pairs of contact lenses. His dedication to enhancing the patient experience and making each visit both smooth and educational truly makes him stand out.

When not at the office, Wyatt can be found indulging in his love for movies, rock climbing, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. Whether scaling a climbing wall or perfecting a dish, Wyatt brings the same energy and commitment to his hobbies as he does in his role at Occhio Optometry.

Charlotte has been working in the healthcare industry for the past 16 years and loves caring for patients during all walks of life. Her vibrant and infectious personality makes her a joy to be around. She brightens everyone’s day with her smile and laughter.

Charlotte joined the Occhio team in 2024 and has been a valued staff member since. You may see her when you first walk in for check-in or assist with pre-testing before your exam. Outside of the office, Charlotte loves exploring nature, whipping up delicious cheesecakes, salsa dancing (and eating salsa!), spending time with her 3 children, and taking care of her many plants! She also loves to spend time at home with her hubby Paul, and their two cats, Poppy and Frizz.
