Dr. Jessica Lee
Dr. Jessica Lee is a therapeutic optometrist and is currently accepting new patients at Occhio Optometry in Sammamish.
Dr. Lee is trained in providing the full scope of optometric care. She is trained in managing ocular disease, fitting corneal contact lenses and provides pre-operative and post-operative care. She has a special interest in dry eye disease.
Dr. Lee attended Santa Clara University in California for her undergraduate studies, and graduated with a Combined Science major that allowed her to experience a unique framework of science courses. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree in Boston, Massachusetts at The New England College of Optometry.
During her final year of studies, Dr. Lee travelled throughout the country for her internships which added to her clinical knowledge base and gave her valuable experience working with diverse patient populations. She received honors in all of her rotations as she worked at a community health center in Boston Massachusetts, the University of Maryland medical center in Baltimore Maryland, the Veteran Affairs medical center in Portland, Oregon, and a well established private practice in Beverly Hills, California. She had the privilege of working with ophthalmologists and optometrists specializing in corneal and retinal disease, oculoplastics, neuro-ophthalmolgy, and pediatric vision care.
Dr. Lee joined Occhio to help support our growing practice. She works closely with Dr. Jay and Leslie to provide the highest quality of vision care and a seamless service to our patients. She believes it is important to take the time to educate patients about their ocular health, and finds a rewarding career in optometry because it provides the opportunity to develop long- term meaningful relationships with patients.
She is a native of Washington State and currently resides in Sammamish with her husband James and her two young kids.
Leslie Hunter was a patient of Dr. Jay’s before she started working for him in 2008. She started working for him when her two boys left for college at the University of Washington.
Leslie and her husband, Kurt are from the Bay Area and relocated to the PNW for his work in 1996.
Leslie was a collegiate swimmer at UC Berkeley and graduated with a degree in Social Psychology.
She has been wearing glasses since the age of 11, so she has lots and lots of experience with frames! She excels at helping patients pick the “perfect” frame for their faces!
She loves spending time with her family, her husband Kurt and their english bulldog, Porterhouse.
